🌎 World Environment Day 🌱

Nature does a lot for us. Today is a good reminder to return the favor.

Plant a tree. Support pollinators. Improve your soil. Compost your yard waste. Spend time outdoors.

Small actions can have a lasting impact on our communities and the environment.

At Living Earth, we’re proud to help turn green waste into products that support healthier landscapes and greener communities.

“This mulch is the goodest thing in the world.” – Charlie, age 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We’ve received a lot of great feedback over the years, but that one still holds up. 😂

From professional landscapers and contractors to backyard gardeners and future mulch experts riding in dad’s pickup truck, we’re proud to provide products that help projects of all sizes come to life.

And apparently… Charlie-approved Texas Hardwood Mulch. 🌱

Want healthier lawns, gardens, and landscapes without the guesswork?

A soil test can tell you exactly what your soil needs before you spend money on fertilizer, lime, or amendments.

The University of Tennessee Soil Management Lab offers soil testing for home lawns, vegetable gardens, flower beds, and more. Testing can provide recommendations based on nutrient levels and soil pH to help support healthier plant growth.

If you need insight on your soil, consider testing your it! You can build a plan based on real data instead of trial and error.

Successful planting starts with understanding your environment. 🌱

The USDA Agricultural Research Service Plant Hardiness Zone Map is a helpful tool for everyone from professional landscapers and growers to home gardeners planning their next flower bed or vegetable garden.

The map helps identify which plants are most likely to thrive in your region based on average winter temperatures, but factors like sun exposure, drainage, humidity, soil moisture, and local microclimates matter too.

Whether you’re managing a large landscape project or planting around the backyard patio, use resources like the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map, local master gardeners, and your Living Earth organic soil, compost, and mulch pros!
