Congratulations to Roger Federer, Mary Carillo, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame on this very special induction weekend here in Newport! 🎾

To celebrate, we wanted to share a wonderful piece of Newport tennis history from our collection at Aardvark Antiques — the original sculpture of Jimmy Van Alen, founder of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Van Alen’s vision helped transform the historic Newport Casino into the home of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, preserving an extraordinary piece of Newport architecture while creating a lasting monument to the history of tennis.

It seems especially fitting to share his likeness as another chapter of tennis history is celebrated right here in Newport.
