🎉 The pahty of the summah to celebrate I Love Wickford Village’s favorite RETIRED guy in brown is THIS Friday! Not only do we hope to see you there but we’re still looking for some volunteers to help set up (lifting and carrying folding tables/chairs) along with cleanup. Please message me if you’re available and would love to lend a helping hand ❤️📦

We know our NK neighborhood has been waiting for this announcement!!! And your Wickford party planners have been waiting for the perfect time to celebrate this here cool dude!!!😎 He was our golden boy in brown for 13 1/2 years, bringing pearly white smiles to our doorsteps and caring & fun conversations to our homes and work places. He was a rock during Covid and had us always looking forward to his visits throughout the years. It’s time to deliver a retirement celebration to our favorite delivery guy of all time… JON!!!! Join us for a potluck party… all are welcome!

When:
🗓️ Friday, July 31st 6-9pm

Where:
🍃 The Greenway at St. Paul’s Parish Hall (55 Main St.)… ☔️ rain location inside Parish Hall.

What to bring:
🍗 If your last name starts with A-M bring a finger food
🧁 If your last name starts with N-Z bring a dessert
(Please serve on pieces you won’t need returned after the party)
🍷 BYOB
🪑 BYO Lawn Chair

What to wear:
👒 Your favorite hat and casual clothing (brown if you really want to go all out!)

We could use some donations ahead of time! Please message us if you are able to help supply us with bottled waters, paper plates, paper napkins or disposable utensils.

We can’t wait to see all of our neighbors at what will surely be a party to remember and well-deserved by Jon!

Received the last package we ever will from Jon today 😭 My grandma taught me that people never forget how you make them feel, and that right there is why will miss Jon SO much. Was & will forever be way more than the BEST/our UPS guy! 📦 From always going above and beyond to make sure we received our packages. To his friendly wave every time as he drove through town, usually accompanied with a cigar in mouth and famous straw hat and hearing “Melissa! Tell me something good!” when he came in is what I’ll miss the most 🤎 He even called a few years back after the first time I gifted him a tin of Al’s mom’s homemade Christmas cookies, thanking me saying please let her know they were the best I’ve ever had… he made her list every year since. He makes sure to reach out to wish me a happy birthday too (we share the same one! 🥳) …it’s that kind of kindness that makes him so special. 🏝️ I know retirement will be lots of well deserved visits to his happy place 🇦🇼 but it just won’t be the same here
