From farm worker roots to becoming a licensed contractor.
Growing up in the Imperial Valley, the son of Mexican parents, watching firsthand what hard work and sacrifice looked like.
Dan knew he wanted to build a different future for his family, so he took a chance, moved, and started from the bottom in construction. Labor turned into experience. Experience turned into opportunity. And with the guidance of a mentor and the support of his wife, he earned his contractor’s license in 2008 right in the middle of one of the toughest economic downturns in recent history.
Dantor wasn’t built overnight. It was built through sacrifice, family, perseverance, and years of learning the trade.
This is only the next chapter of the Dantor origin story.

Growth doesn’t happen overnight and neither does a great construction company.
In this chapter of the Dantor story, Dan shares how the process has evolved into a more refined system built around communication, consistency, and continuous improvement.
We’re not perfect. We’re always learning, adjusting, and improving our procedures, because construction is constantly changing. Pricing, timelines, materials, and market conditions can shift quarter by quarter, and part of our job is helping clients understand what’s realistic today.
Every project has taught us something. Every challenge has helped sharpen the process.
And that evolution is a big part of how Dantor grew into the luxury construction company it is today on El Paseo.
