Pot fillers seem to be one of those controversial kitchen features that people either love or never use.

I have had several conversations about them lately, and honestly, I can see both sides.

I have never put one in my own homes, and I have not personally missed having one. But I know people who absolutely love them and use them all the time.

I think it probably depends on how you cook, how often you use large pots, and whether convenience features like this matter to you in everyday life.

So now I want to know…

Besides designing homes, life has been very full lately in the very best way.

We welcomed twins this week, which makes three new grandbabies in the last three months. 🥹

Needless to say, my heart (and camera roll ) is overflowing.

It has been such a sweet reminder that home is so much more than beautiful spaces. It is where life happens. And right now, life feels very full and very good.❤️

Windows that extend all the way to the floor create a stronger connection to the outdoors and help a space feel more grounded.

It is a subtle detail, but it changes everything.

You feel closer to the landscape, the light comes in differently, and the room feels more open without doing anything else.

Hi, I’m Jeri.

I’m a mom of four great kids, a nana to three, with twins on the way, which still feels a little surreal.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out for a run, in the mountains hiking, on the golf course, or planning our next trip. And if there’s a latte or chocolate involved, even better.

I really love the simple things. Being at home, spending time with my husband, and creating spaces that feel calm and easy to live in.

That’s what I want for my clients, too. A home that not only looks beautiful, but feels like somewhere you actually want to be.

Most people choose countertops based on how they look.

But what matters more is how they actually live in your home.

Some materials stay consistent and low-maintenance.
Others develop character over time.

Neither is wrong. It just depends on what feels right for you.

I walk clients through questions like
Do you want something predictable or something with natural variation
Are you okay with a little wear over time
How do you actually use your kitchen day to day

Lately, I have been leaning more toward natural stones like quartzite because of the depth and warmth they bring into a space.

I shared a more detailed breakdown of quartz, marble, quartzite, and granite on the blog, along with where I recommend investing and what to avoid.

But the goal is never to choose what is trending.
It is to choose what will feel right for years to come.
