Even a good setup needs small changes as food cooks.
Grill running hotter than planned? Turn down the active burners and wait for the chamber to settle.
Opened the hood? Give temps a chance to recover before you twist another k**b.
Uneven browning? Rotate or reposition. Flare-up under the burgers? Move that patty farther from the lit burner.
Burger seared on the outside but not done in the middle? Slide it to indirect.
Corn charring too fast? Milder spot.
Buns? A quick toast at the edge of the grate, then off.
That’s the point of zones: move the food when the meal asks for it.
