I'm daring to post the full ~6 minute video of our interview with *THE* man himself, Hugh Kaptur, the original architect of this property. If you have the time, I'd love to share how we were lucky enough to give him a tour and get his
reaction to seeing our renovations for the very first time!
You'll hear Hugh's own history of designing and building this house. Not only was this Hugh's personal favorite residence he designed, a model of the home was specifically created for a 2019 retrospective exhibition on Organic Desert Architecture at the Palm Springs museum's Architecture + Design center and remains on permanent collection.

This week, I'm thrilled to share final shots of our redesigned primary bath suite in this unique Hugh Kaptur home! 🎉✨
I wanted to create curved corner pony walls for the vanities to beautifully showcase Hugh's iconic pyramid ceiling over the closets. It was a challenge to hide all the HVAC and necessities, but the result honors the home’s character with a modern flair.
And those curved stone slabs for the shower bench and vanities? Absolute show-stoppers! 💖

This indoor/outdoor bar was the most challenging part of the entire remodel of this special Hugh Kaptur home we lead the redesign on for almost 2 years!
From the major re-engineering we had to do--underpinning this wall in order to accommodate our hatch-up windows along with fabricating a curved stone slab counter + island, it was an immense challenge. But, all the more worth it😅🔨📐 PRESSURE IS A PRIVILAGE !!

Today are final photos of the backyard of our 2 year renovation of this historic home by Palm Springs’ architect Hugh Kaptur.
While keeping the building footprint of the main house and guesthouse the same, we opened up the center main house back wall to accommodate a new indoor-outdoor bar with lift-up windows, designed a new spa, pool landscaping, and remodeled the casita ADU 📐😅📏⚒

After a 4 month hiatus, I'm back with a bang this month to showcase final pro shots of my 2 year redesign and renovation of this historic home by Palm Springs’ architect Hugh Kaptur.

I'm starting the week off showing the front of the house, and my redesign of the front door. We came up with 8 different custom door designs to be made out of steel, brass, and smokey glass. Of course they picked the first one I drew after all that...😆🙃💡🖌

Here’s another peek into our Tudor style house remodel! 🏡✨ Last week, I shared the kitchen transformation, and today, I’m excited to show you the beautiful archway leading to the tub-shower combo our client wished for.

We faced a fun challenge with this arched entrance into a wet area—wood moldings were out, and wrapping with mosaic tile felt too busy. So, we opted for stunning Thassos white marble slabs! 🙌 These elegant slabs create a seamless look, matching the subway tile in the tub shower walls without introducing a new material.

The homeowner envisioned a classic blue and white aesthetic. With that in mind, we found these blue Cielo onyx slabs for the counter and tub deck which paired wonderfully with marble mosaic tile on the floor, making the space feel luxurious. 💙🛁
