Old me: drink from the gourd, unlock Drunken Fist. đŸ„‹đŸ¶
New me: put flowers in the gourd, unlock flower power. đŸŒ·đŸș
Same power source, different era.

Trying floral arranging for the first time on a Sunday afternoon đŸŒ· Luckily, this gourd Vase doesn’t ask for professional skills.

For this piece, we flattened that familiar form into something quieter, cleaner, and a little unexpected, reimagining a familiar cultural form for contemporary living.

We’re preparing the first release of this new design. Only 15 will be available.

The silhouette comes from one of the most iconic bottle gourd forms found across China and much of Asia—a shape many of us grew up seeing without ever thinking twice about it.

For this piece, we flattened that familiar form into something quieter, cleaner, and a little unexpected, reimagining a familiar cultural form for contemporary living.

Each vase begins as a real bottle gourd grown over an entire season.

While it’s still growing, each fruit is carefully pressed into shape. Weather, rainfall, and the fruit’s own growth all influence the outcome. Many crack, deform, or simply never reach the proportions we’re looking for. By the end of the harvest, only a small number are suitable to become these vases.

Each one is finished with a solid maple wood base for stability and includes a removable glass insert for fresh flowers.

Each one carries the marks and character of its own growth.

Only 15 will be available in the first release.

đŸŒ± If this feels like a piece of home to you, comment “HOME” below. I’ll personally reach out when the first 15 are ready.

Most people think creativity begins with freedom.

I think it begins with constraints.

One question we’ve heard since day one of G HOME is:
“You’re building an entire brand around a fruit?”

Exactly.

G HOME is built on the belief that constraints don’t limit creativity—they sharpen it. When you choose to work with one material instead of endlessly searching for another, you’re forced to truly understand what’s already in front of you.

And that’s when the hidden qualities begin to reveal themselves, materially, culturally, symbolically.

Nature offers possibilities. Design is the art of recognizing them.

Tiny pieces of functional folk art.
Hand-carved from gourds in Peru, each one carries patterns, stories, and a material that’s been part of daily life for thousands of years.

Now available on our online store and Shop Bloom PVD .

You can’t modernize an ancient fruit by treating it like a museum piece.

Every gourd has to be cut open to remove the seeds.

Most artists hide this cut, but we made it the statement.

By borrowing from ceramic repair traditions, we turned a necessary step into the defining feature of the vase.

Sometimes the best way to honor a material is to let it evolve.

Everything here starts with a fruit.

Not because gourds are unusual.
But because they’ve quietly been part of human life for thousands of years.

They’ve been bowls.
Musical instruments.
Ritual vessels.
Containers.
Art.

Somehow, they disappeared from our everyday homes.

We’re interested in what happens when they return.

Not as souvenirs.
Not as folk art.
But as objects for modern living.

This is where G HOME begins.
