Motherhood has taught me that babies don’t stay little for long.
One day you’re rocking them to sleep in the middle of the night, and somehow the next they’re telling you about their dreams, their heartbreaks, their opinions, and who they’re becoming.
They change constantly. Every stage feels like a tiny lifetime all on its own. And if we slow down enough, there is so much beauty hidden in the ordinary moments — the bedtime stories, messy kitchens, long talks in the car, little hands reaching for yours, even the hard days that stretch and grow us too.
Being a mother has also been a healing journey for me. Children have a way of teaching us where we still need softness, patience, growth, and love for ourselves. They invite us to become more present, more intentional, and more aware of the kind of home and memories we are creating.
Before we know it, the little nest grows quiet.
And what remains are the memories we made together and the hope that we raised them with enough love, safety, laughter, and connection that they still want to come home, call us, sit at our kitchen tables, and stay close long after childhood ends.
Because the truth is… they are adults much longer than they are children.
And that realization makes me want to slow down and hold these days a little tighter. 🌸💕
Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers loving deeply, healing quietly, learning as they go, and trying their best every single day.
