Perennial Monday 🌸

This week’s perennial spotlight is foxglove.

I love the tall spires of blooms and the cottage garden feel they bring to the farm late spring into early summer. One of my favorite things to watch is the bumblebees landing inside the bell-shaped flowers. As they move from bloom to bloom, they become covered in pollen and help pollinate other plants throughout the garden. 🐝

Foxglove is a beautiful addition to the garden and a favorite of many pollinators.

Do you grow foxglove in your garden?

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us today at The Barn Princeton, and a special thank you to The Barn for hosting such a wonderful market! We were thrilled to meet so many new faces and connect with familiar ones as well.

We’d also like to thank everyone who stopped by the stand this weekend. Your support, kind words, and visits mean so much to our small family farm.

With the beautiful weather ahead this week, we’ve decided to keep the stand open daily. We’ll be refreshing it regularly with fresh flowers, new houseplants, herbs, and seasonal blooms throughout the week.

What a beautiful afternoon at the market. There’s a wonderful breeze, great music, delicious food, and so many talented local vendors. We’re thankful to be spending the day alongside so many small businesses.

If you’re out and about, come say hello. We have fresh flower bouquets, mason jar arrangements, bud vases, herbs and houseplants.

We’d love to see you! 💐

While watering and cutting flowers this evening, I wanted to share a few blooms from around the farm.

It was a hot but wonderful day. We enjoyed exploring the town-wide yard sale and were grateful for everyone who stopped by the stand to support our little farm.

The stand will be open tomorrow from 8 AM–7 PM and will be fully stocked before we head to The Barn Princeton from 12–4 PM.

One of my favorite native plants, Culver’s Root, covered in pollinators. Just look at all the activity in a single photo.

We love growing native plants here at the farm and are huge supporters of pollinators. Native plants like Culver’s Root provide important food and habitat for bees, butterflies, wasps, and other beneficial insects throughout the season.

We do have a limited selection of native plants available at the stand. 🌿🐝
