This Tokai room used to be an attic storeroom and library. We transformed it into a dedicated home cinema.

The design brings together 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos sound, layered lighting and simple Control4 operation. We also installed the projector outside the viewing room to keep its fan noise away from the seats.

The easiest time to make home technology feel unobtrusive is while the house is still being built.

At Halo Villa in Camps Bay, Mirror Edge Networks joined the project during construction to plan and install the whole-home network and Wi-Fi, Sonos multiroom audio and centralised television sources. Crestron control made those sources straightforward to use in the finished rooms.

The photographs show the spaces people live in. The infrastructure that supports them is largely out of sight.

An existing smart home does not always need to be rebuilt from scratch.

At Clifton Terraces 602, Mirror Edge Networks reviewed and upgraded the installed automation system so lighting, climate and entertainment could be managed more consistently through Control4.

The work included integrating the villa’s Lutron lighting and refining how the different systems operate together.

Not every upgrade calls for a new system.

This Camps Bay project began with a service visit: the client’s Bang & Olufsen components had stopped communicating. After tracing the fault to a failed network switch, we restored the system and then integrated a BeoSound 9000 CD player with the existing BeoVision Avant and BeoLab 5 speakers.

The work included careful cabling, configuration and loudspeaker calibration. Most importantly, it gave a music collector a simple way to enjoy a treasured CD library through the system already at home.

A private cinema is about more than the equipment you can see.

Behind the clean finish of this Camps Bay room are acoustic construction, concealed Wisdom Audio speakers, a Barco laser projector and Trinnov processing. The room was designed & built in association with Sphere Custom Design.
Featuring full acoustic treatment, installation and system integration.

The finished space feels comfortable and uncluttered—while everything behind the walls is working together.

Some technology deserves to be seen. Some is better when it disappears.

In this Val de Vie home, Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 5 speakers form part of the lounge design. In the main bedroom, a Definition Automation motorised drop down television system retracts into the ceiling when it isn’t needed.

Mirror Edge Networks planned the network, distributed entertainment and Control4 operation as one whole-home system from the build phase. The result is technology that fits the way each room is used.

The power supply is part of the AV system too.

When we plan a cinema or equipment rack, we look at the connected components, the electrical circuit and where protection will sit—not simply how many plugs are needed. We specify Furman power conditioning to suit the installation, while proper earthing and electrical protection remain essential.

What started as a request for three easy-to-use televisions became a whole-apartment technology project at the V&A Waterfront Marina.

We brought the video sources together in one location, planned the supporting cabling and Wi‑Fi, added Sonos music across the apartment, and made each TV straightforward to operate with Crestron control. The visible rooms stayed uncluttered; the infrastructure did the work behind the scenes.
