What do you think, did Tara recover faster than I was able to knit this sweater? 🧶

When my girls were little, they always thought I could “just knit” and everything would be fixed. Somehow, knitting could repair anything that was broken.

More than two years ago, Tara broke her leg during ice skating practice.

What was supposed to be a simple recovery turned into a nightmare of complications, wheelchairs, crutches, hospital visits, and surgery after surgery.

Couple of weeks ago, Tara underwent her 7th operation.

While sitting beside her hospital bed, I knitted this sweater.

Tara chose the name herself, and it has become one of my favorite designs I’ve ever made.

Maybe because every stitch reminds me of her strength.

And honestly…

I managed to knit the sweater in a little over a day.

Tara’s recovery took a lot longer.

I wish I could have simply knitted her leg back together too. ❤️

LOGOSCARF IS NOW LIVE

This has been one of the slowest design process I’ve had in a long time. I’ve totally lost count of how many times I unraveled (more then 10 at least). I knew what I wanted, but the road to get there was difficult. I took several breaks inbetween, just to kinda calm my nerves and reset.

//the images show the different stages the scarf went through before becoming what it is today

But all this trouble and with my stubbornness to not give up has led me to this amazing knitwear pattern.

It’s so simple and elegant, knitted in Mulberry silk and I used the color Hunter that I’m kinda obsessed over at the moment.

The pattern does only require 1 skein for the hole project. Knitted on needles 3 mm and the style can be worn in different ways.

I love it 🙏🏻

Totally worth all the trouble

You can find the pattern online now in English, Danish and Icelandic.

✨WE ARE BACK ✨

Síðast seldist upp á viku, svo ekki hika of lengi🫶

The Eyelet increase,

Probably the most hottest increase I’ve worked with, I’m kinda obsessed at the moment and trying to place it in as many designs as possible.

You will find this increase in & some other stuff I’m working on.

TARASWEATER IS OUT NOW 🫶

The sweater is worked top down in a raglan construction. The yoke is worked back and forth at first, then joined at the neckline and continued in the round. The yoke is later divided into body and sleeves, which are worked separately. It is recommended to begin with the neckline and sleeves after dividing the work. This makes it easier to create symmetrical color transitions if working the ombré or leftover version, while allowing the remaining yarn to blend naturally into the body.

About the Color Work

The sweater can be worked in three different ways:

One color // Leftover mohair // Ombré effect

If working the ombré version, follow the cues in the pattern for when to change colors. If working the one-color or leftover version, ignore the color-change cues but continue following the strand counts throughout the pattern.

Finishing Options

There are several ways to finish the sweater:

Leave it as is // Add fringes // Brush out the mohair for a hairy texture

Combine the different finishing techniques as desired:

If brushing out the mohair, it is recommended to only brush sections worked with 4 or more strands, such as the body.

This sweater has been on my mind for over two years.

These images don’t even capture all the small details this style holds. The feeling of stitching down the very last snap buttons was indescribable, because I’m just so proud and happy with how it turned out.

There has been so much brainstorming and so many readjustments along the way. This is actually version number two, but all the small edits and thoughtful details finally feel just right.

Natan was by my side while I finished the last touches, constantly asking to try it on 🥹

Maybe the one thing these images truly capture is how much fun we had while shooting them 🫶

As I’ve mentioned earlier I will be looking for testers for this style that is available in size 2-3 / 3-4/ 4-5/ 5-6 years old. Natan is wearing 4-5 years, he’s turning 3 in the end of this month. So he still has a lot of time to grow into the style.

The sweater is knitted in Fine Organic, and I’ve created a special mini kit of additional things 5x mini hanks, snap buttons and eye buttons. So you are welcome to contact me if interested in testing.

for my very active Natan 💝

Lately

I think it would be a new year without a one or two night at Hvidover hospital 🔫😅

But other than that it’s all about self care, knitting, new designs and changes 🫶
