🎉 Happy belated birthday, Finty! 🎂💕

We couldn’t celebrate properly last week as Finty was enjoying a well deserved holiday, but today we finally got to raise a cup of tea and enjoy a delicious slice of Guinness cake, lovingly made by Finty’s mum! 🍰☕️

Finty joined our team just a few months ago and has already become such an important part of the Sally Yonge Interiors family. 🥰

We absolutely love her energy, enthusiasm and excitement to learn, and it’s been fantastic watching her settle into the team and throw herself into everything she does. ✨

✨ This week, our team had the pleasure of meeting interior designer Stephanie from Sabb Design at our Cambridge design studio.

🤍 With her clients joining us for the meeting, we discussed the project in detail before exploring our extensive fabric collection to find the perfect curtain fabric.
Once we had chosen the curtains, we carefully selected a complementary voile for the sheer curtains, creating a beautiful layered look.

🪡 We also considered all the finer details that make such a difference to the finished look, from curtain heading styles and track options to fabric weights, textures and how each element will drape and sit within the room.

🏡 These details are an important part of the overall design concept. By considering every element together, we can create window treatments that not only look beautiful but work perfectly within the space.

This Cambridge Victorian home is a perfect example of why we believe every project should start with listening to our customers and understanding the character of their home.

With so many beautiful original features, it was important to choose window treatments that felt sympathetic to the age and style of the property. Rather than introducing something too modern that could look out of place, we carefully selected products that would feel timeless and harmonious within the space.

Being at street level, with a footpath directly outside, privacy was also a key consideration. We recommended a wooden Venetian blind to cover the lower section of the window, giving our customer complete control over privacy while still allowing plenty of natural light into the room.

For the curtains, a traditional double pleat heading was the perfect choice for the night curtains. Made with fabric by Ashley Wilde Fabrics . These were installed on a curved pole within the window recess, creating a classic and elegant finish that complements the Victorian character of the home beautifully.

We love creating window treatments that don’t just look beautiful, but feel as though they truly belong in the home. 🤍
