Chapel Tenner Week returns to champion our town’s independent businesses
Chapel-en-le-Frith residents are being urged to make the most of Tenner Week and get behind the businesses taking part.
Chapel-en-le-Frith’s own Chapel Tenner Week is back this autumn, giving the town a chance to get behind its independent businesses and enjoy some £10 offers along the way.
Running from Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October, the initiative shines a spotlight on what makes Chapel-en-le-Frith special: a town full of independent shops, cafés, salons and traders.
The response from Chapel businesses has been positive, with a strong line-up already signed up to provide £10 offers for residents to enjoy.
Residents are being urged to make the most of Tenner Week and get behind the businesses taking part.
A spokesperson said: “Popping into a participating shop, café or salon, picking up one of the £10 offers, or simply spreading the word all helps make the week a success for the town’s traders. As organisers put it: ‘£10 might not sound like much to some, but it makes a real difference to a small independent business.’”
While the campaign is rooted firmly in Chapel, organisers are also welcoming support from Whaley Bridge, Buxton, New Mills and across the wider High Peak. But at its heart, this is a Chapel-en-le-Frith initiative, born from a real pride in the town and its traders.
Chapel businesses that haven’t yet sent in their Tenner Week offer can still take part, but organisers are asking traders to act fast as the campaign is now in its final stretch.
Businesses can pop in for a chat or contact two of Chapel’s own independents helping to run the campaign: Halls Mica via [email protected], or Itsy Bitsy Boutique at [email protected].
Organisers are keen to stress that supporting Chapel’s small businesses shouldn’t be limited to Tenner Week alone. It’s a year-round effort, and it doesn’t always have to cost anything. Sharing a business’s social media post, leaving a comment or Google review, recommending it to a friend, or simply popping in for a chat can all make a genuine difference to the town’s traders.
