Last week saw my beginners workshop, and it was lovely to see a mix of new and return students

✂️ One student joined the beginner session for her 2nd time, making a tote bag. She had a new machine, so a great opportunity to learn about it, whilst picking up new skills!

🧵Another new student brought her own machine, and gained the confidence to use it again after it had been hidden in a cupboard. She made a gorgeous tote bag, but portrait style 💕

🪡 and another student joined to work on her own project, a bomber jacket. This is part of the sold out intermediate seasons, and a great challenge - more to come on this soon.

There are workshops available for all skill levels, and there are more coming in the new year. Perfect for beginners, or those looking to develop their skills.

🌟 And I’m back, after a lovely week away in Cyprus (more to come on that adventure in another post 🤣) with a busy week of making and lessons!

🙏 I’m so grateful for all of the support, and with the seagull cross body bags being a big hit, it was time to have fun with some new additions! I think the pink & navy may not make it to the market 🤣🤣

♻️ All made from upcycled and rescued fabrics, they are a great addition to the range! They have a zipped main compartment, and two little pockets in the wings too - so plenty of room for all of the essentials

🧵It’s been a busy week with lessons too - make do mend in a private lesson, another making 15 cushions with zips, a beginners workshop and the final bomber jacket workshop with my intermediate students!!

It was all about the seagull bags this week, after they almost sold out last weekend…and of course having a bit of fun with the seagulls 🤣

🪺 No seagull doorstops this week, but 6 new bags added to the mix for the weekend Deal Town Market

♻️ All made from rescued and upcycled fabrics, these crossbody seagull bags are the ultimate fashion item! They have a zipped compartment, as well as two little pockets hidden in the wings!

🕯️ And of course a bit of fun with the seagull outfits with the traitors capes now available! It’s mad how versatile they are, and I love seeing all of the fun things they are up to!

🧵 and a fantastic beginners sewing workshop too - I love the creations in these workshops, and the confidence everyone walks away with using their machine.

Our talented volunteers have created these fantastic 2-in-1 capes and trick-or-treat pouches, all lovingly upcycled from items that might otherwise have gone to waste.

All prices are suggested donations. Proceeds are retained by Walmer Castle and Gardens and help support our fundraising efforts and local projects.

✂️ It’s been a busy week! The sewing machine has been at full throttle, and I’m really excited to share the latest addition to the range - introducing the seagull crossbody bag 🤣

♻️ The bag you never knew you needed! All made from upcycled fabrics, with a lined zipped inside pocket, and two additional little pockets in the wings too…💡a mad idea…but I think it works 🤣🤣

🪺 and of course a few new seagulls into the flock, and by chance some family sets too 💕

☀️ Another busy week of making, getting ready for Deal Town Market tomorrow and of course thedealflea next weekend 💕

🧵This week was all about refreshing the seagull flock, ready for some new exciting (and very random) ideas for next weeks making! Stripes are in demand, and I got to use some fab fabrics I picked up Deal Braderie ♻️

✂️ Lessons were popular too with the bomber jackets all cut out for the intermediate class - I’m so excited to see what these look like!

🪿and of course the discovery last weekend of porch geese…too much inspiration for the seagulls 🤣🤣

♻️ After a busy weekend at the Deal Braderie it was time for a new flock! This time some of the XL seagulls after a lot flew the nest 🪺

☔️ Given the popularity of the seagulls in raincoats, it was time to properly design them! They’re all ready for the market tomorrow…but I do wonder if I’ve gone a step too far 🤣🤣

✂️ It’s been a busy week of sewing lessons, with the beginners workshop and the first of the intermediate bomber jacket workshops on Sunday! A good excuse to try out the new pattern myself with this fab material from the Walmer Brocante.

💕 Wow! What a fab day yesterday Deal Braderie. A huge thank you to the organisers, and to everyone who made the day so much fun 💕

☔️ Nothing was going to let the chance of a little rain get in the way of a fantastic busy day, and an amazing community spirit too!

🌧️ The seagulls were all ready for the rain with their new raincoats - a very random idea as I drank my coffee yesterday morning; but I have a feeling they’ll be part of the range very soon 🤣

♻️ It’s been a busy few weeks with the Deal Braderie, and the Walmer Brocante, so it’s going to be a few very busy making weeks as we get ready for thedealflea on 4th October too 🥳

✂️ This week also sees the beginner sewing workshop, and on Sunday the intermediate bomber jacket workshop which has sold out twice! 😱
