I am really excited about giving this presentation for Gosport Heritage Open Days. In addition to the slides being presented on local history and how my paintings represent it and the video showing how my work is generated, the restoration of old photos into colour has been a major shift in how local history is portrayed. There is a lot of work to generate these images to show them in as close as possible the actual colour scene the camera was looking at all those years ago.
Come along, I am sure you will enjoy seeing Gosport, Lee on the Solent and Stubbington in the past as never before.

It’s ok.

I had the pleasure of being invited to Kingston street art festival last week.
Festivals like this are a great chance for artists to catch up with old friends, make new ones and paint new places.

I decided to paint one of my signature eyes but as with all my paintings, I didn’t really have a plan as to who I was going to paint in the reflection; who’s story I was going to tell.
I trust that as long as I’m working hard, inspiration will hit me. And for this mural it very much did, in the form of George and his son Peter, who looked after me and were generous enough to offer up the wall of their cafe, Cafe la Cigale for my painting.
George brought his young family to Kingston from the Lebanon 26 years ago and they’ve embedded themselves into the community with their cafe in Castle street.

In these times of division I felt their story was perfect for capturing in the eyes reflection.

Huge thanks to SKYHIGH. Roo and the crew and the team for a great festival, All the artists I got to hang out with (always so inspiring), and everyone at Cafe La Cigale for keeping me fed, watered and inspired.

Another private workshop and more glorious results. Fun collage pet portraits with these siblings yesterday. I will be sorting more workshop dates very shortly, I'm a bit behind with stuff at the moment and I managed to completely lose my website today after a spontaneous decision to randomly delete inactive plug ins which didn't help! Thankfully after 2 hours of chat with my hosting company, they managed to retrieve it! So fingers crossed I'll get something out this week.
