We’re absolutely blown away by all the wonderful entries for our **Make, Do and Mend Tea Cosy Competition**, jointly hosted by Flamin’ Good Crafts and Dolly’s Vintage Tea Room.

So much creativity, imagination and skill has gone into every single one. We certainly wouldn’t want to be the judges!

A massive thank you to everyone who has taken part. You’ve all done yourselves proud!

Well, just look at these! ❤️

Yesterday I was asking how everyone was getting on with their Love Letters to Autumn crochet-along, and today I get to share these beautiful finished blankets!

So many lovely colours, different crochet stitches and little autumn details. It’s wonderful seeing all those individual squares finally come together.

A huge well done to our lovely ladies. You both look rather pleased with yourselves, and quite rightly too!

If you’ve been following along with the Stylecraft Love Letters to Autumn CAL, I’d love to see how yours is coming along. Have you finished, or are you still working your way through those squares?

Do share your photos with us. I love seeing what everyone’s been making.

Have you ever thought about learning to crochet?

I take my crochet just about everywhere with me! That’s one of the things I love about it. You can pop it in your bag and get it out whenever you’ve got a few minutes to spare.

Waiting for an appointment, sitting on a train or just enjoying a cuppa somewhere. It’s amazing how much you can get done, and it’s so much nicer than sitting scrolling through your phone!

It’s also a great conversation starter. You’d be surprised how many people stop for a chat when they see you crocheting.

If you’ve always fancied giving it a go, why not make this autumn the time to start?

I offer friendly one-to-one crochet lessons here at Flamin’ Good Crafts in Gosport, so even if you’ve never picked up a crochet hook before, we can get you started.

Pop in and have a chat. I’d love to help you discover something I enjoy so much!

Bit chilly and damp out there today, isn’t it?

Definitely the sort of weather for snuggling up in a lovely handmade crochet blanket!

I made this gorgeous Janie Crow crochet blanket quite a few years ago now, and it took me a whole year to finish! But wasn’t it worth it? Just look at all those lovely colours, flowers and intricate stitches.

That’s the lovely thing about crochet. You can spend hours making something, but you’ve got something beautiful to enjoy for years afterwards.

If you’ve been thinking about learning to crochet, why not give it a go? We have beginners’ crochet lessons here at Flamin’ Good Crafts in Gosport, and you never know what you might end up making!
