🏡 What does energy security mean for our homes? 🏡
Stove Industry Association have made an excellent point in their recent post ⬇️
A new report from Parliament’s Energy Security and Net Zero Committee highlights the growing importance of energy security in the UK’s energy transition – including the value the public places on reducing our reliance on imported energy.
For households, resilience matters too.
A modern wood burning stove can provide a valuable source of secondary heating that does not rely on the electricity grid.
When used responsibly with sustainably sourced, dry wood fuel, it can form part of a diverse and resilient approach to heating our homes.
As we move towards a lower-carbon future, the SIA believes energy security, resilience, emissions and air quality should all form part of the conversation.
