Why Golden Peacock Design?🦚

When I was choosing a name for my interior design business, I wanted something that felt personal to me and reflected what I wanted Golden Peacock Design to stand for.

I’ve always loved the idea that our homes should be as individual as we are. The peacock felt like the perfect symbol — representing individuality, beauty and the freedom to be yourself.

That’s at the heart of what I believe good interior design should be about.

Your home should reflect the people who live in it — your personality, your passions, your family and the little things that make you happy. It should be more than a beautiful space; it should feel like your space.

I love getting to know my clients, listening to their ideas and understanding what matters most to them. Then comes the creative part: bringing those ideas together, adding my own design experience and eye for detail, and creating something that feels cohesive, considered and completely personal.

Because ultimately, home is where life happens. It’s where we relax, connect, make memories and feel most ourselves.

And I believe the best interiors are the ones that make you feel something every time you walk through the door.

September = refilling the creative tank. 💙

A few days spent getting out, seeing what’s new, meeting other designers and, of course, talking about my favourite subject… colour.

From Focus 26 to Shoreditch Design Week and London Design Social, there was plenty to take in — new collections, new suppliers and lots of conversations about colour & creativity.

Now it’s time to bring all that inspiration back into the work. ✨

This morning I spent two hours with a new client in her beautiful home - a space she loves but has never quite felt brave enough to bring to life with colour.

She knew there was more personality waiting to come out. She just did not know where to start, or trust that her instincts were right.

That is exactly what a colour and clarity consultation is for.

We went through her home room by room - looking at the light, the architecture, what she was drawn to and why, and what was holding her back. By the end she had a clear palette for each space, a confident direction, and the language to make decisions without second-guessing herself.

She left knowing exactly what to do next. That is the whole point.

If your home feels like it has more personality waiting to come out - or you just want someone to look at it with fresh eyes and give you a clear direction - this might be for you.
