My handmade ceramic wind chimes are now available to order.

Each chime is individually handcrafted and fired to stoneware, making them fully frost-proof and suitable for outdoor use all year round. No two batches are ever exactly the same, giving every piece its own unique character.

These chimes gently move in the breeze, bringing a simple, natural charm to gardens, patios, balconies and outdoor spaces. For a more musical effect, try hanging two or more strands together around 3–5 inches apart and let the wind do the rest.

Another piece from Saturday's Raku firing that I only just got around to cleaning up today!

I always love this stage of the process. After the excitement of pulling a piece from the flames and seeing those beautiful crackle patterns emerge, there's still a bit of work to do before the final result is revealed.

This hand-built bowl has developed such lovely organic folds and delicate crackle detailing, making every angle unique. No two Raku pieces are ever the same, and that's part of what makes the process so special.

From clay to fire to finished piece – each stage leaves its own mark and tells part of the story.

✨ From Fire to Finish ✨

What a transformation! 🔥

These images show the journey of one of my latest raku-fired pieces. From the intense heat of the kiln, through the smoky reduction process, to the final crackled glaze that emerged at the end.

One of the things I love most about raku is that every firing is an adventure. The combination of fire, smoke, oxygen reduction, and timing creates effects that can never be completely repeated. Each piece develops its own unique character and pattern.

This tealight holder finished with beautiful crackling and subtle smoky tones that highlight every curve and opening. Watching it emerge from the firing process is always magical.

Imagine the warm glow of candlelight shining through the openings, casting beautiful patterns and bringing the piece to life. ✨
