We had a great weekend here at Orkney Glass Hut, meeting people from America, Germany, Canada, Yorkshire, Leeds, Shapinsay and mainland Orkney with lots and lots of art pieces created!

We had some visitors yesterday for a workshop. Kirstin and Paul and their gorgeous Tammie Norie friend, ‘Herston the Puffin’. He is such an inspiration. (See just a few their photos below). He even met Gary our Goose!
It was such a fun evening and I can’t wait to see Herston’s portrait when he has come out of the kiln!

It was Donna’s birthday fused glass workshop yesterday! Lots and lots of lovely fused glass created and now in the kiln! They all were so jolly and it was a wonderful afternoon! 🎂🍰🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖

Here are just a few items leaving my studio this week. Piano keyboard displays 🎹🎼🎹 for some music fanatics from Yorkshire, 3 baby elephant hand painted gifts 🐘🐘🐘 and 2 gorgeous fairy doors 🧚🏿 🧚‍♀️ 🧚🏻‍♂️ for visitors from Vancouver, Canada and Sweden.
Time to get making to fill the display shelves again. Thank goodness I also made 1 Peedie and 4 Mini Crashing glass waves looking great together on display, PLUS 1 highland coo…..

It’s been the lambing season on Orkney and in my fused glass workshops sheep and lambs have been a popular inspiration for glass fusing (and spring flowers)! So much fun! I’m always amazed at how creative everyone is!
