Hello everyone! I introduced myself not too long ago and gave a short story on how I got started working with the material Jesmonite. So today, for the first prompt of ‘You and Your Work’, run by , I thought I’d give you four things you might not know about me and about Jesmonite!
Four things about me:
🔵 I currently have a seventeen-strong plant collection (and growing!) and dream of owning an albo monstera
🔵 I spend my down time reading or on my Switch. I’ve just finished 📚 The Song of Achilles by .e.miller and 🎮 Spiritfarer by
🔵 I’m a journal hoarder, I currently have six different journals on the go for different projects 😅
🔵 I’m a D&D novice, opting mostly to play one of three classes, Druid, Rogue or Wizard
Four things about Jesmonite:
🔵 It’s an environmentally conscious alternative for other casting materials (such as epoxy resin, which is toxic)
🔵 It was named Material of the Year at the 2017 London Design Fair
🔵 It’s used for a whole range of things from set design, like in Legoland, on-board ships, for museum projects and so much more
🔵 It was originally created in the 1980’s in the UK
