💜🧶 ONE YEAR AGO TODAY… AND WHAT A YEAR IT’S BEEN 🧶💜

Today is a date that will always mean something special to me.

One year ago today, I made that first trip to the wholesaler to buy yarn for Elsie’s Emporium. I had hopes, ideas and plenty of nerves… but I could never have imagined what would happen over the next 12 months. 🥹

Because somewhere along the way, Elsie’s Emporium became so much more than a yarn shop. It became a community. Our community. 💜

You’ve placed orders, visited our shop, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, joined our lives, shown us your incredible crochet and knitting creations and celebrated every milestone alongside us.

Some of you have been here right from those very first balls of yarn. Others have joined our little yarn family more recently. Every single one of you has played a part in our story.

From that first wholesaler trip to having our own yarn shop in Colwick, Nottingham, expanding into a bigger premises and sending your favourite crochet and knitting yarn to customers across the country… sometimes I have to remind myself that this has all happened in just ONE YEAR. 🥹🧶

There have been moments when I’ve stood in the shop, looked around at all the yarn and thought…

“How did we get here?”

And the answer is actually very simple.

YOU. 💜

Every order mattered.
Every visit mattered.
Every like, comment and share mattered.
Every recommendation mattered.
Every kind message on a difficult day mattered.

So today isn’t just about celebrating one year of Elsie’s Emporium.

✨ It’s about celebrating all of YOU who made that year possible. ✨

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in us, supporting our family business and coming along on this crazy yarn-filled journey.

And to think… this is only the beginning. 🧶💜
