Locally Produced for You is now an online gift shop that stocks a fantastic selection of products mostly from local makers that are based in Nottinghamshire and we also welcome makers/artists throughout the UK. We are adding new items to our website each week http://www.locallyproducedforyoushop.com so keep popping back. If you fancy getting creative we have a wonderful selection of workshops on offer that include glass making, enamelling, free machine embroidery, willow weaving and lino printing. We have just one place that has become available on our Christmas Glass workshop that takes place on Tuesday 3rd November 13.30 - 3.30 - £33

If you missed out the first time around, this is your chance to book this spot !

During this class you will be able to create 3 Christmas Glass decorations that you can gift or hang on your tree.
Each decoration measures approximately 5cm x 4cm. You can create whatever design you choose.

At the end of the session Katherine will take your decorations and fired them in her kiln ready for you to collect usually a week later.

Here at Locally Produced for You we offer you wonderful creative workshops which are the perfect way to try a new craft.
All of our classes are suitable for complete beginners. We make it super easy for you to book on our website ( links are in the bio), and the tutors provide
you with all the materials that you will need on the day so you don’t have to bring anything with you except your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

We keep our class sizes small so that you can have the support that you need from our passionate and knowledgeable tutors.

All of the workshops take place at my home in West Bridgford, Nottingham, UK

You can choose from willow weaving, lino printing, fused glass, needle felting and free machine embroidery.

The available dates are usually listed for the next month or two on my website and we regularly add new dates, so keep popping back to this
page or sign up to our monthly newsletter ( the link is on my website ).

Needle felting with Rachel Morley this is one of our newest additions to Locally Produced for You, though Rachel has been teaching for many years.

Willow Weaving. Gerry is offers a wonderful variety of options for her willow weaving including berry baskets, angels, bird feeders, large garden flowers and our new digital online workshop - a willow star with lights.
These classes range from 3 hours - 4 hours depending on the option you choose.
A super way to try this ancient craft.

Introduction to free machine embroidery

Sarah offers a fabulous 3 hours of free machine embroidery where you can come with little or no experience at all and create a picture that is framed for you to take away at the end of the session. There is always a gasp at the end of delight when students see their finished designs framed and realise what can be achieved in 3 hours!
Sewing machines, materials and the frames are all included in the cost of this workshop.

Lino Printing - Brydie offers 3 wonderful hours of tuition, carving and printing.

We always add a theme for these classes but Brydie is able to guide you with whatever design you choose.

A short history of lino printing.
Linoleum was invented by Frederick Waltonin in 1860
It was initially used as flooring. Years later artists and commercial printmakers
began experimenting with it as an alternative to woodblocks for wallpaper and
illustration.

In the 1920s it was introduced into schools as an affordable craft.
