Hi, I'm PJ. I'm registered deaf-blind, and one of my favourite hobbies is making candles. It's something creative, calming, and accessible for me.

Candle making is all about senses beyond sight and hearing. I work with textures, shapes, and even scents. I feel the wax, notice the temperature changes, and carefully measure using touch and routine.
Being deafblind doesn't mean I can't do things - it just means I sometimes do them differently. For example, I use adapted tools, routines, and memory to make the process safe and enjoyable.
Being registered deafblind is part of who I am, but it doesn't stop me from creating beautiful candles. Creativity belongs to everyone.
