Feature wallpaper sets the scene in Timeless Glamour.

Dark wall panelling, a custom washstand, stone detailing and delicate sconces build on that first impression, creating a powder room with depth and character.

We’re delighted this project received the Visual Impact Powder Room Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards.

The judges recognised the memorable guest experience and the way the design stays true to the home’s traditional character.

There’s something particularly lovely about giving a small room this much attention.

Making a compact bathroom feel generous starts with the planning.

In Understated Retreat, a travertine half wall runs the length of the room, drawing the eye through the space and bringing warmth and texture. Continuity in the materials helps the room feel calm and connected.

This project won the Creative Small Space Bathroom Design Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards.

The judges singled out the spatial planning and full-length travertine feature, recognising a bathroom that feels larger than its footprint suggests.

A rewarding result for a design where every decision counts.

Two NKBA awards for Lakeside Retreat!

This ensuite received both the Bathroom Distinction Award $50K+ and the Visual Impact Bathroom Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards.

The angled bath, dramatic mirrors and layered lighting gives the room a striking visual response, while warm materials and a connection to the outdoors gives the space presence and depth, instantly memorable.

Behind those standout features is careful planning: practical storage, a substantial vanity and a layout that makes everyday use feel effortless.

We’re delighted the judges recognised both the visual impact and the functionality of this private retreat.

The rooms we use every day deserves thoughtful design.

The Wash House received the Outstanding Laundry Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards, with the judges highlighting its detailing and distinct character.

A traditional butler sink sits alongside a contemporary benchtop with a fine shark-nose edge. The brass rail adds another carefully finished detail to this practical space.

It’s a combination that gives the laundry its own identity, with everyday function at the heart of the design.

We’re so pleased to see this project recognised.

A small room with plenty of personality.

Green Envy won the Outstanding Powder Room Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards.

A floating vanity, feature lighting and carefully chosen materials create a strong first impression. Hidden storage keeps the practical essentials close at hand without interrupting the design.

The judges praised the balance of mood, proportion and functionality within its compact footprint.

We love the freedom a powder room offers to create something memorable, and Green Envy makes the most of it.

An angled space offered the opportunity to do something a little different with Lake Escape.

Working with the home’s architecture, we created an ensuite with a refined material palette, crafted Blue Tempest quartzite paired with American White Oak Joinery and slim black steel mirrored cabinets. Its connection to the outdoor spa area adds another dimension to this private retreat.

Lake Escape won the Creative Excellence Bathroom Design Award at the 2026 NKBA Awards.

The judges highlighted the way the design responds to a challenging footprint while creating a calm, cohesive space. A lovely recognition of the thinking behind this project.

Our Traditional Refinement project has won Supreme Bathroom Design at the 2026 NKBA Awards, and we couldn’t be more delighted.

Glazed blue wall tiles, tessellated flooring and a furniture-style vanity give this bathroom its distinct personality. Each element brings something different, brought together through careful proportions and detailing.

The judges praised the balance of traditional character and a fresh, polished feel, recognising the generous layout and harmonious mix of materials.

A very special result for our team and a bathroom we’re proud to have created.

Lakeside Retreat – designed to bring people together.

At its heart, a kitchen with a generous curved island that creates a natural gathering place, while considered planning and a concealed working pantry keep the space effortlessly functional.

We’re proud to see this home’s interior receive the 2026 SBID Award best Residential House over one million pounds in Oceania.

I’m incredibly honoured to share that I have been made a Fellow of the National Kitchen and Bathroom Association.

The NKBA New Zealand has been a significant part of my career journey, and I’ve been fortunate to contribute to the association in many ways, including as a Board member, President, Awards judge and Mentor. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of receiving three Designer of the Year titles, multiple Supreme and regional Awards, as well as international accolades that have provided opportunities to showcase New Zealand design on the world stage.

My love of design began when I was very young, sitting beside my mum in her graphic design studio, drawing and playing with designs and Letraset. That early fascination with creativity and design grew into a career that, even after all these years, I still feel incredibly blessed to have.

To have my contribution to the industry recognised by my peers is a huge honour and a very special moment in my career. I’m incredibly proud to receive this Fellowship and deeply grateful to the many people who have been part of the journey: my talented team, our wonderful clients, and the architects, manufacturers, suppliers and trades we collaborate with to bring our projects to life.

Thank you, NKBA.
