Surrounded by the extraordinary Central Lakes landscape, Lakeside Retreat was conceived as a place to escape, reconnect and spend meaningful time together.

The interior complements the home’s contemporary architecture while strengthening its connection to the landscape beyond. Warmth, refinement and functionality come together in spaces designed for both open, social living and quieter moments of retreat.

A restrained palette of natural materials, bespoke joinery and finely crafted details creates a sense of continuity throughout – resulting in a home that feels cohesive, restorative and deeply connected to its setting.

At the heart of this home is the kitchen, a finalist in the 2026 SBID International Design Awards Kitchen Design - Oceania.

The kitchen needed to work beautifully for everyday life while becoming a natural gathering place when family and friends come together.

Sculptural forms, bespoke joinery, natural stone and integrated lighting give the space a strong architectural presence, while warmth and tactility keep it inviting.

More than a functional space, it was designed around connection, conversation and shared experiences.

This home was designed around two things: how our clients wanted to live, and how they wanted to bring people together.

We became involved early in the design phase, working closely with our clients to develop an interior vision that complemented the architecture while feeling distinctly personal to them.

The brief called for refined everyday living, generous spaces for entertaining, and an interior with a sense of occasion, sophisticated and memorable, but never at the expense of warmth or comfort.

We’re incredibly proud to see the project recognised internationally as a finalist in the 2026 SBID International Design Awards, in the Residential House Over £1M category.
