Urghhh, it's not always a happy kiln opening... I thought I'd fixed this problem and could bring my incense volcano design back but i opened the kiln this morning to find these pockmarked volcanoes.... More testing and frustration for me i think!

It was time for my daughter's friend to say goodbye to her elderly cat recently. I sent the girls off with some slabs of clay and cookie cutters. I'm so impressed with the job they did! One day I'd love to come up with a way to offer this service to everyone, it's so lovely having a pawprint of your best buddy, especially when they are no longer with us ❤️

Artists are a different breed of people... This is Bon, she's an incredible sculptor and also the mum of one of my best friends. With her generosity, Bon has completely changed my little business. She gifted me a kiln, I call her Big Bertha (the kiln, not Bon) and being much bigger than Little Lucy (my original kiln, hopefully you can see in the photos how much bigger Bertha is), I'm able to fire so many more of my weird ceramics. I offered to sell the kiln on Bon's behalf and i offered to pay for it but this amazing woman insisted that she wanted to gift it to me, to help me on my journey towards supporting my daughters and i with my ceramics. This post is a love post to , thank you so much, I'll never forget what you've done for me and one day i hope i can pass the love on to another potter who is trying to make their dreams a reality ❤️
