Pattern, texture, and contrast come together in the dining room of our Indian Wells project.

An oversized abstract wallpaper by GRACIE brings movement and energy to the space, while vintage Gianni Moscatelli dining chairs, upholstered in faux fur, introduce an unexpected layer of comfort. Overhead, a custom metal fixture lends a sculptural, brutalist edge.

One of the magical aspects of the house is the openness of the layout, which makes the most of its oceanfront location. The home is truly designed for indoor-outdoor living; the doors are always open to let the sea breeze waft in. It’s equally comfortable to sit on the oceanfront terrace or in the home’s courtyard garden, originally envisioned by Terry Hart, a contributing landscape designer at the Getty Museum.

The courtyard, which is in the heart of the home and accessed from the kitchen and dining areas, not only provides a private outdoor living space but also drenches the interiors in natural light.
