It’s episode 2! Starting with a full reset and designing a space that can actually thrive in a west facing, desert climate.

When you’re working with intense afternoon sun and dry heat, plant selection matters. We’re planning a mix of heat tolerant, low maintenance options like rosemary, thyme, and native flowers that can handle the conditions, plus climbing plants for the shaded corner.

This balcony is getting more than just plants, too. Deck tiles, seating, and lighting are all part of creating a space that feels as good as it looks.

This is supposed to be a balcony.. but right now it’s more of a shut the blinds and don’t think about it moment 🫣 A few struggling plants, unused space, and zero reason to come out here. Even though it was the balcony we just “had to have”.

So we’re cleaning out, starting fresh, and turning it into a space you actually want to spend time in this summer. 🌞
