At West Zephyrhills Elementary School, learning extends beyond the classroom. Recently honored with a 2026 FEFPA Award of Merit, the campus is organized around nature inspired themes like garden, ocean, sky, and forest, helping students navigate their environment and feel at home. It is designed to support how students learn best by encouraging curiosity and connection to the world around them.

This wood model of West Zephyrhills Elementary helped us bring our ideas into focus early on. We designed the school in a horseshoe shape to create a secure, connected campus, with limited access and a central courtyard. At the front, the building gently slopes down to reduce its scale, creating an approachable entrance for students and families.

Our fire station design prioritizes firefighter well-being and community safety. The spaces we create support firefighters by anticipating their movement, reducing friction, and respecting the weight of their work.

Mangrove Bay Middle School was recently featured in the Summer 2025 issue of Florida/Caribbean Architect.

This new partnership school brings together education and community needs, turning a long-underutilized site into a vibrant, shared space that benefits both the student body and surrounding community.

Principal Lindsay Wilson and our Project Manager Israel Sanchez discuss how the design team approached this ambitious goal. Designed by our team in collaboration with Harvard Jolly | PBK, the project reflects a forward-thinking approach to public space and shared-use design.

What if the future of design could begin with what we already have?

Our team developed the enGraft chair as a conceptual exploration of zero-waste design, combining wood waste with digital fabrication and traditional grafting techniques. Each component is joined through a system that prioritizes material honesty, creating strength and structure without added hardware.
