Hi Everyone,

My name is Alison, and I am the owner of Alison Interior Designs.

Welcome to the first day of June and the beginning of the summer season here in Florida! As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a disability. While it affects the use of my right arm and the strength in my right leg, it has never limited my ability to help clients create beautiful, functional spaces that they love.

Great design is about understanding your vision, listening to your needs, and developing a plan that transforms your home into a space that truly reflects your lifestyle. My disability has never defined my work, and it certainly does not prevent me from delivering exceptional design services and results.

If you have been thinking about transforming your home, now is a great time to get started. Beginning the design process sooner allows for proper planning, product sourcing, ordering, and scheduling, helping your project move forward more efficiently.

There are so many misconceptions when it comes to hiring an Interior Designer.

One misconception is that a designer is expensive and doesn’t save me money. Yes, Interior Design is a luxury service and doesn’t save me money upfront but we will save you money in the long run. You have to pay for the design services and for your products upfront. However we save you money in the long run by not having to continue to make changes every year.

Another misconception is that if you hire us you won’t get the look and feel that you want. We guide you through your selection process so you don’t have to do it alone. We also take into consideration your inspiration.

Another misconception is that it will take longer to complete the project. There is more upfront work but it would take you about the same amount of time.

When selecting lighting for a client we make sure that we choose the correct amount of lighting and the correct types of lighting.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Alison, and I am the owner of Alison Interior Designs. Today, I wanted to share something personal with you.

I have a disability that affects the use of my right arm, and my right leg is weak. However, that has never stopped me from pursuing my passion for design or helping clients create spaces they truly love.

Design is deeply personal. It reflects who we are, how we live, and the journeys we each experience. We all face challenges in life, and I have faced many throughout both my personal life and career. Despite those challenges, I continue to move forward every single day doing what I love most which is transforming spaces and helping people feel at home.

One thing I hear from clients all the time is that it’s hard to fully picture the space before everything is done. That’s why I create custom 3D renderings for my projects.

These renderings help clients visualize the space before anything is purchased or installed. Everything is customized to the client from tile selections to furniture colors and layouts.

As an Interior Designer, I try and get my clients to include unique features in their spaces all the time. Whether they are functional features or decorative details, these are the elements that really bring a space to life.

At the last two projects that we completed, we incorporated a few unique features like a banquette seating area, a glass bar area, and panel molding. All of these features added interest to the spaces and made them feel more custom and intentional.
