For me, design is an absolute discipline that lives entirely in the final millimeter. That is why I curate Maison Puiforcat at AD | Atelier + Design.

True luxury doesn’t stop at a custom sofa or a piece of fine art, it extends to the exact weight of the silver in your hand. Founded in Paris in 1820, Puiforcat represents the absolute pinnacle of high silversmithing. In the 1920s and 30s, Jean Puiforcat revolutionized the house, transforming raw silver into pure, mathematical Art Deco sculpture.

When you hold a piece from the 1924 Chantaco collection, you immediately feel the architectural precision of the fluted handles. Their solid sterling silver ch*****ne tumbler is just as brilliant, it is engineered so perfectly that a veil of frost naturally forms on the mirror-polished exterior the moment the cold liquid hits it.

I bring these masterpieces into our Sarasota showroom for clients who understand that true elegance isn’t about showing off. It is simply about appreciating perfection in every single detail.

I’ve never seen a real separation between the art we collect and the way we actually live. It’s all about science meets instinct, raw texture, and the unexpected tension that makes a room come alive.

Flipping through the new Baxter Mood Book at the Atelier. This isn’t a catalog; it’s an absolute piece of art in its own right. Beyond the stunning editorial photography, it actually holds physical samples of their iconic, bulk aniline leathers inside. It is a masterclass in Italian refinement you can literally touch and feel.

We brought these exact sculptural pieces into our Design House, seeing the editorial vision on paper and then feeling the tactile weight of the leather and stone in our space is everything. Come experience the dual flow of light and form.

Natalie Dunham received her BFA in painting from Birmingham-Southern College, in Birmingham, AL in 2007 and her MFA in sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore, MD in 2010. Dunham’s artwork has been collected and exhibited both nationally and internationally. She currently lives and works in the United States, with an additional workspace in Europe.
