Being a mother and an entrepreneur is a constant balancing act.
I've accepted that I can't win everywhere at once. What I try to give is full commitment in each role, even when that means being fully present for only part of my time.
🫣 So when people tell me it's a shame I'm no longer at the OZCFarm market every weekend, this is my answer:
Like jam, life has seasons. For many years, the season was about building a community, a name for the brand, and a loyal following of people who care about food with strong values.
Most weekends went to jam tastings and stories, and that took all of my dedication.
🥰This particular season is the most precious and the most fleeting one. 👶
He said "mama" for the first time on a Sunday.
He took his first steps on a Saturday..
So to all the commenters, stepping back from the stall is not stepping back from success. Today, he needs me to be his pillow. Tomorrow, Leo's Little Jars is still the brand hospitality professionals choose for their shelves and buffets. So in my book, that makes me a double winner.
Ps let's leave the mamas alone shall we? We are really trying our best. We need support, not judgment. 💛
