Ever been to a 'sewing in ends' party, would you go? Have I started a trend? Probably not. I had an impromptu one on Wednesday afternoon when two friends visited the shop. I seized the moment and the result was 4 new shawl samples for the shop.
1) Boneyard Shawl by Stephen West in Lang Mille Colori, pattern free on Ravelry
2 & 3) Dartmoor Streams, our own pattern, DK in King Cole Homespun Prism and Homespun. 4ply version in Opal Uni and Lang Mille Colori
4) and lastly, a new design of a crescent shawl by me in Zauber Perlen. The pattern and yarn will be available in the shop shortly.

Would you like to learn the meditative art of spinning your own yarn with a drop spindle? You can learn this ancient art with our experienced spinning teacher Terri Holman this coming Saturday 21st March.

Practicing during this workshop with a spindle before learning to use a spinning wheel will give your hands some experience of drafting out the fibres, and will give you a taste of creating your own yarn before you commit to buying a full wheel. A wheel might be faster, but a spindle is inexpensive, takes up much less space and is portable enough to take anywhere with you!

If you have your own drop spindle do bring it along. All equipment and fleece
will be provided.

The workshop will be running from 10am - 1pm on Saturday 21st March and costs £35 - to book just reply to this email, call 01626 836203 or pop into the shop.

We have some spaces left on our 🐣Needlefelted Easter Egg workshop 🐣 this Friday with Lynne - don't miss out on your chance to make these gorgeous heirloom decorations, which will brighten your home each Easter!

The workshop is happening this Friday from 10.30am - 1.30pm, and costs £35.
