October was a colourful month in the workshop but the other photos show how it starts 😱

Pads on gym equipment suffer from constant use and sweat making them brittle causing the cover to break down (as shown in the photos) but it is something we can remedy quickly and efficiently to ensure they aren't out of use for long. Stripped, recovered and all the seams top stitched for added strength - all good to go!

This lovely old chair was stripped out completely and the frame was lovingly polished by its owner, we were able to use the original springs but the rest of the upholstery had to be replaced with new before being covered in this lovely fabric from Damask range finished with a matching braid. The chair was a project for our customers daughter and it now has pride of place by her fireplace.

This was an unusual one.. an 1930s art deco cantilever rocking chair in its original condition. It belonged to our clients father and grandfather before him, she has memories of them both in their reading chair. However, the brown tapestry didn’t work so we were asked to make it bright and colourful with pinks and purples, we added a green contrast - she was ecstatic and, there were tears of joy ☺️ mission complete.

These four new seat pads add comfort to a set of kitchen chairs, complete with ties to keep them from slipping - and add a little glamour ☺️ New covers in the Cantare range, a soft, warm fabric with exceptional stain resistant nano-clean technology. Practical and pretty!

You can't go far wrong with a Parker Knoll occasional chair. Simple design, with a stylish wooden frame and comfort. We loved the tansformation of this one and so did our customer. We stripped it right out, renewed all the upholstery added a new seat cushion interior then covered it in this lovely fabric from Pimlico range. A soft ribbed velvet chenille available in many different colours.

It's not just furniture.....we made these bespoke bags to contain all our customers dog training equipment, from fences to tunnels and more. We used extra long zips to allow for easy access, we even made sure the straps were the right length to sit comfortably on shoulders during transport and made sure they didn't touch the ground or hit knees/ankles when walking. The results were worth the challenge!

Our customer bought this incredible chair from Heal's back in the 1970's, the exaggerated 'atomic' design exudes that retro style. It was previously recovered over the existing fabric (not good practice) so it had to be stripped twice before the frame could be inspected. Once the joints were glued and cramped, it was newly upholstered then covered in a suitable fabric from Cristina Marrone Fabrics Avellino range in Fiord. Fabulous!

The pads on gym equipment break down due to sweat and lots of use, but something that can solve quite quickly and easily. Top stitching the sewn seams gives added strength and looks nice too.

This Parker Knoll wing chair was just to plain for our customer, she decided on contrasting colours using a bright geometric pattern against this rich burgundy. This is another great thing about re-upholstery, it is open to design and can be unique to you. We added an extra lumbar to help with her bad back and finished the seat cushion with plain piping to bring it all together. It is now back at home, in the reading corner being used every day. Another happy ending for customer and upholsterer☺️
