What a week for us... and it’s only Wednesday!
Earlier this week, we posted the news about our forthcoming book, “On Artistry”, about our adventures and collaborations with artists and makers, to be published by Rizzoli this September.
And today, we’re thrilled to announce that we have received the 2026 Arthur Ross Award in the category of Interior Design!
Presented annually by the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, the Arthur Ross Awards recognize the achievements and contributions of architects, designers, painters, sculptors, artisans, landscape designers, educators, publishers, and others dedicated to advancing the classical tradition. We are so honored to be in the company of this year’s recipients:
The Frick Collection (Winner, Stewardship)
Voith & Mactavish Architects (Winner, Architecture):
Thierry Goux, RINCK (Winner, Artisanship): .thierry
Hoerr Schaudt (Winner, Landscape):
Alejandro García Hermida (Winner, Education): .arch
On a tangent — I’ve been rereading Wallace Stegner’s *Crossing to Safety* these past few days. It’s one of my favorite books, a quiet but powerful story about the enduring friendship between two couples, revealing their strengths and shortcomings, and how we all spark and inspire each other’s accomplishments. There’s a passage I read last night that captures this wonderful moment when thinking about the Ross Award. Raising a glass to my team:
“Whup! His cork hits the ceiling. Whup! Mine follows. Cheers. To the talent in our midst.... to the marriage of match and kindling... the divine oxidation...”
We look forward to celebrating with you all on Monday, May 11th at Cipriani, 42nd Street!
Many thanks to the
