We love it when our vendors deliver exactly the item we are looking for when we need it. We were hoping to find a remnant piece of beautiful natural stone for clients who were hoping to tack a powder room into the project without spending a fortune - they don’t need an entire slab and we hate waste. That said, most slab yards don’t offer remnants for sale and when they do it is a scavenger hunt through lots of broken pieces, difficult to see and questionable pricing. The Yard in Anaheim though - they know what they are doing! Hundreds of beautiful remnant pieces - trimmed into perfect sizes without cracks and defects - priced very reasonably. Many were already sold which tells me how popular this is. Brilliant and we are so happy to have completed our search!

Natural stone makes you stop and zoom in, and that’s the whole point. Every vein is one-of-a-kind — nature did the artwork, we just get to bring it inside. 🖼️

This powder room is proof the smallest room in the house can hold the boldest material.

Anyone with an MBA would tell you that reinventing product for every customer is a terrible business model….

Is California about to ban man-made quartz? How will that affect our design industry and clients? Let us know what you think!

Three things I put in nearly every project, no matter the style: 1) Visual interest at the cooktop: custom hoods, beautiful lighting, and open walls. 2) Mixed metals - don’t be afraid to layer different finishes! 3) Fun elements in the Powder Room like wallpaper and concrete sinks. What’s your non-negotiable in a home? Tell me below. 👇

Lighting is jewelry for the home and we spend a lot of time making sure we are selecting the perfect pieces for each space: from a 3-story custom stairways cascade to pendants that complete each kitchen. Lighting should never be overlooked! ✨
